Oh Yeah!!!

The Wolverine trailer is finally out, the official one anyways. Can I just say YESSSSS!!! Yes to Hugh Jackman! Yes to finally giving us Gambit! Yes to Wolverine!!! Okay i'm way excited even though the movie release is still 5 months away. I hope this movie kicks butt, cause the last X-Men movie was a bit of a disappointment. Good but not as good as it could have been. Stupid Bryan Singer leaving the project to do that awful Superman movie. Anyhoo in case you have been living under a rock here is the new Wolverine trailer.

Dawn of a new Age

So was following Cristin's twitts (however you say that) and they have a new Ice Age movie coming out. Joy!! Even though I never saw the second one I absolutely adore the first one. The preview was just too cute so had to share. Enjoy!

Worst band names

I was reading an article on worst band names ever and it directed me to a website where you can get your own Emo band name. It was slightly humorous (the site). So if I decided to start my own Emo band we would be called "Loveless Swinging Feeling" If you want to start your own emo band and need a name go here.

That Ms. Leela to you

So my husband said I could get a kitty. Even though he is a dog person and is slightly allergic to cats. We saw one we liked but the lady decided not to give it to us (mean lady). Then a couple days after that we are driving down a road and our friend sees a sign for free puppies. She of course is reading this out loud and my hubby hears her. He said turn around lets go see. I'm reluctant, knowing how much work it is to take care of a dog compared to taking care of kitty (hence why i'm a cat person, plus they are so squishable, fluffy, aloof). So twenty minutes later we left with this cute little girl.

Sorry for the fuzzy pic, it was taken with my cellphone.
Even though I'm not a dog person Leela is so sweet and cute. She's very obedient, we already have her trained not to come in the bedroom. She sits there looking at you going, why not? In case you are wondering about her name, I'm a Futurama fan. But not to worry cat lovers, the husband promised to get me a kitty in the spring, hooray! Then we'll have a nice little brood.

Cats are funny

This is so typical of a cat with big ol' eyes trying to figure something out. I especially love how he ends up scaring himself. You can see the video here

I'm an Audrey :)

Well I always loved her movies, so I could say I'm flattered. Plus it seems to fit my personality pretty well too.

mm.audrey_.jpg

You are an Audrey -- "I am at peace"

Audreys are receptive, good-natured, and supportive. They seek union with others and the world around them.

How to Get Along with Me

  • If you want me to do something, how you ask is important. I especially don't like expectations or pressure

  • I like to listen and to be of service, but don't take advantage of this

  • Listen until I finish speaking, even though I meander a bit

  • Give me time to finish things and make decisions. It's OK to nudge me gently and nonjudgmentally

  • Ask me questions to help me get clear

  • Tell me when you like how I look. I'm not averse to flattery

  • Hug me, show physical affection. It opens me up to my feelings

  • I like a good discussion but not a confrontation

  • Let me know you like what I've done or said

  • Laugh with me and share in my enjoyment of life

What I Like About Being an Audrey

  • being nonjudgmental and accepting

  • caring for and being concerned about others

  • being able to relax and have a good time

  • knowing that most people enjoy my company; I'm easy to be around

  • my ability to see many different sides of an issue and to be a good mediator and facilitator

  • my heightened awareness of sensations, aesthetics, and the here and now

  • being able to go with the flow and feel one with the universe

What's Hard About Being an Audrey

  • being judged and misunderstood for being placid and/or indecisive

  • being critical of myself for lacking initiative and discipline

  • being too sensitive to criticism; taking every raised eyebrow and twitch of the mouth personally

  • being confused about what I really want

  • caring too much about what others will think of me

  • not being listened to or taken seriously

Audreys as Children Often

  • feel ignored and that their wants, opinions, and feelings are unimportant

  • tune out a lot, especially when others argue

  • are "good" children: deny anger or keep it to themselves

Audreys as Parents

  • are supportive, kind, and warm

  • are sometimes overly permissive or nondirective

Rain or Fab Four?

Since I was baby i've been listening to Beatles music because my dad is a big time fan of them. So needless to say I am also a fan and know almost all their songs. Even though they aren't around any more there are plenty of tribute bands that play their music. Last year we saw the Fab Four in Las Vegas and yesterday we saw Rain - A Tribute to the Beatles. Both of them were really good but in different ways. When you see the Fab Four and you close your eyes you'll think you are actually listening to the Beatles. They are pitch perfect and sound just like them. What I didn't like is that the show was too short and they didn't play enough songs. Rain on the other hand doesn't sound exactly like the Beatles but they come pretty close. Especially the guy playing George, sounds nothing like him but man could he play that guitar! I really liked the show they put on, they put a lot of effort into entertaining the crowd. Lots of visuals and crowd participation. Plus, they played a ton of songs and ones that are really complicated such as "A Day in the Life" and "I am the Walrus". I thoroughly enjoyed both shows but if I had to pick one to see again it would be Rain :) Long live Beatlemania!

SNL Memories

So been trying to think what to blog about. Nothing very interesting going on right now. I could talk about Heroes but not everyone watches that. Then I started thinking about all the old SNL skits and how me and some of my friends randomely quote them sometimes. So of course I can't find most of them online (thanks alot NBC :P). But here's one that brought back fond memories.

Good ol' Chris Farley. We are always saying "Going to eat those fries?" haha! And another goodie but oldie

"I don't know could it be SATAN?" heehee!

Anyhoo just wanted to share some laughs.

My Celebrity Look Alike

So I followed a link from Blog of eternal stench to a site where you can see your celebrity look alike. I don't think I really look like Naomi Watts. I think it just the way I have my face turned. But for kicks here it is. Its nice to know when I'm old and fat I'll look like Roseanne Barr :p

Wow! It's been how long?

Where has the time gone?  I really haven't posted on here for over a year?  The kids are so much bigger now and so much has changed.  I ...
